About Us
Longtime associates Ranganath Kandala, MD and Vijay Korimilli, MD, MPH founded SLIM (Sugar Land Internal Medicine) Healthcare Associates on the basic concepts of quality coupled with a caring and compassionate approach. The duo of Dr’s. Kandala and Korimilli have worked alongside as faculty at UT Houston, then worked at Memorial Hermann, Memorial City before coming to the Sugar Land area and establishing their own group practice. At Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, they were both lead hospitalists for their group and were involved in many key hospital leadership positions. Dr’s. Kandala and Korimilli are highly respected and regarded for their clinical acumen, leadership skills and bedside management. They are both recipients of numerous awards throughout their career further highlighting their commitment to the highest quality medical care. They are both educators and hold academics close to their heart. Till date, they serve as honorary faculty for many local organizations and are actively involved in teaching Physician Assistant students, Nurse Practitioner students and college students.

Annual Physical Exams
Prevention is better than cure", it is said and Annual Physical Exams follow that same principle. Labs and required tests will be offered as part of the Annual Physical Exams. Most insurance plans have no copay for this visit.
Chronic Care
We specialize in the care of a wide variety of medical conditions like Diabetes, Hypertension, Hypercholesterolemia, Pulmonary and Cardiovascular conditions and often collaborate with consulting specialists as needed.
Well Woman Exams
Dr. Tamirisa and Dr. Renu are proficient in conducting well woman exams as recommended by guidelines for prevention of cervical and breast related pathology.
Sick Visits
In the event that our patients need to be seen quickly for an acute illness, we offer both in person and telemedicine visits (provided insurance plan allows) on an expedited basis to ensure that the situation is addressed immediately.
Brain Check: Neuro-Cognitive Checks (Memory Test)
Early recognition of memory problems is key in efficient management of Dementia and can lead to reduction of its impact on one’s life. Brain-Check is a state of the art iPad based memory testing tool that is offered at our office if there is any memory concern.
Immigration Physicals
Dr. Kandala and Dr. Korimilli are both USCIS designated civil surgeons and are adept at immigration physical exams. Having been immigrants themselves, they understand the nuances and rigor involved in these procedures and take extra care in the process to ensure that there are no problems with the application.
